Between tragedy and comedy the transition is often but slightly marked. Thus Romeo and Juliet differs but little from most of Shakespeare's comedies in its ingredients and treatment--it is simply the direction of the whole that gives it the stamp of tragedy. Romeo and Juliet is a picture of love and its pitiable fate in a world whose atmosphere is too sharp for this, the tenderest blossom of human life. Two beings created for each other feel mutual love at the first glance; every consideration disappears before the irresistable impulse to live for one another; under circumstances hostile in the highest degree to their union, they unite themselves by a secret marriage, relying simply on the protection of an invisible power. Untoward incidents following in rapid succession, their heroic constancy is within a few days put to the proof, till, forcibly separated from each other, by a voluntary death they are united in the grave to meet again in another world

The key of life opens the door to the world of study. Within this world we find the collective wisdom of centuries past. It is there upon the pages of yesterday's books that we find the inspiration for tomorrow's knowledge. Searching through the past to find the truth, we become enlightened by the secrets of old. Higher and higher we climb in knowledge and wisdom as each lifetime is fullfilled. The collective minds of past and present alike are united as our world expands.....Growing stronger as each day passes....Pushing onward into greater horizons and unexplored regions of the mind...Reaching out to others in need....Moving forward yet questioning the past....Seeking new answers yet finding old questions. The world of study continues it's progressive journey through time and space, continually it seems, without end.....

But then it happens...We reach the point...

WHAT IS A WOMAN ?

*She is as sweet as a rose...*

She is as tender as a flower...

She is like a Goddess of love when she shines her power...But she is also human…with feelings and needs...She has ambitions, desires, hopes and dreams... What is a woman?... She is the sun in the night and the moon in the day...She leads us to heaven…she shows us the way...She is the light in the tunnel...She is the star in the sky...She holds the answers when our minds question why?... What is a woman?... She is a mother at heart and a lover in soul...As the lover, she helps the man to attain his role...As the mother, she leads the boy to follow his goal... What is a woman?... She is like the eagle, she is the dove...She carries the feelings that lead us to love...She holds the emotion inside and lets it flow...She gives man her soul when it’s time to go....When a boy leaves his mother to find his mate...The woman supports the man to follow his fate...That part of fate that man couldn’t change…it will always remain...It remains in the woman, the child and the man...Through the eyes of love, he takes his stand...What is a woman?... The light of love will show...The chain of love will grow...The treasure of love will flow...When the bodies embrace to become as one...A woman is the man and a man is the son...He becomes she and she becomes he...The feeling of love will let us see...That together we grow, together we heal...Together we live, together we feel...

Hey You All..........Greetings to those who are reading this:

I'm back in my website after a horrific October and November. I traveled down to Florida from Philly to see the Space Shuttle go up. Then across to Memphis to see Graceland where Pricilla and Lisa Marie lived and I was thrown into the street on Elvis Presley Blvd because I had no shoes on. Then when I tried to tour Graceland I was actually mugged on the front lawn infront of the tourist buses. I was trying to find the wedding chapel there and also the Heartbreak Hotel which was actually at the end of Lonely street! Can you believe this....I swear it is true. I then traveled in my car to Kansas where I was thrown into a State Institution for 4 weeks just because the local police called my mother after I paid for 4 dollars worth of gas and the pump didn't stop and went over that amount and the police and a local "shrink" were called.

I was then taken to a holding wing of the local State Hospital in Larned, Kansas where They wouldn't let me outside even to get some fresh air. My father finally got threw and flew out by plane and had my car transported back to New Jersey where I am now. Because of financial problems and the "greed" of those in the entertainment industry, I may lose my Condo in Philly. I suffer from Bi-Polar illness and have to go on public welfare to survive....but I can still sing and write if given a "break" in this world of the "beautiful people".

If you think that Britney and Lindsey were having it tough in Rehab....try to imagine being placed in a State Hospital in Kansas with "so called"criminals. I have survived my manic episode and finally got home to be with my family here in NJ for Thanksgiving and Christmas but have since experienced a long and deep fall into and out of depression. Bi-polar illness can make you mad or bring you a wave of creativity. I hope this website shows my battles with both sides as my poetry has been my saving grace but has led me into poverty, despair and lonliness.

I hope all is well with everyone and Britney , Lindsey , Barbra, "Madonna" and Lisa Marie can enjoy the "real life"with their families.

I had trouble getting back on the Internet and entering Britney and Lisa Marie's "fan clubs"as well as Madonna's ICONers but I enabled my computer and the ActiveX controls to get in. Do you believe you have to pay to get into these clubs and the "stars" don't even respond! MY WEBSITE will always be free even if I have to live in poverty without royalty money for my poetry. I hope to give you all inspiration and will return any e-mails sent to my address in my page on top called "CONTACT ME"

If you want to join me in this peaceful revolution of hope…..please continue to log onto this free website or join me as I try to inspire a new generation to return to our moon to live and play each and everyday. This new Project of which I speak involves NASA, ESA and all the space agencies on this Earth who wish to join us in a peaceful collaboration of hope and wonder to finally complete the International Space Station and use it as a launching port to send men and women back to our moon (LUNA) and then challenge the world to successfully launch a mission to MARS and it’s 2 moons from our own moon that we last visited in 1972 with the landing and successful return to Earth of Apollo 17.

This “BOLD NEW FRONTIER” can be accomplished before 2020 if we continue to use our Space Shuttles as a cargo plane and Space Transportation System and keep it in service past 2010 if we can include those space vehicles already in production with other nations other then NASA and the USA. If and when we complete the ISS, our next step is to return to the moon and expand our human presence there even if it means to build another Space Station in Lunar orbit. We must continue with our Constellation Project and build newer and bolder spaceships then the aging Shuttle which was first launched in 1981 with one of the remaining 10 American Moonwalkers as the pilot of Columbia… JOHN YOUNG….Yes human beings are headed back into the cosmos and onward into the great SOMEWHERE!

Will you help join this historic revolution of hope to begin again to look up to the blue and watch as the sky turns black to view the “stars” in the heavens and not focus on those artists in the “Entertainment Industry” of which we will need their help, time, money, and public awareness to promote and help finance a new Endeavour into the New Frontier.

Madonna Denied Blast-Off in '08

It looks as if the Material Girl isn't going to be leaving this material world anytime soon. Russia's Duma legislative body nixed the idea of sending Madonna into space in 2008, a notion brought forth by Liberal Democratic Party lawmaker Alexei Mitrofanov after the 48-year-old hit maker supposedly said during her tour stop in Moscow this week that she would like to visit the International Space Station. "It would be a serious event, considering the TV coverage and the fact that it will coincide with [presidential] elections in the United States and Russia," Mitrofanov, who proposed that an official inquiry be sent to the Russian Federal Space Agency, told the information service RIA Novosti. Space agency spokesman Igor Panarin explained that there were no seats available on the Soyuz spacecraft until 2009. "Taking into account her good physical preparedness and financial capabilities, the dream of [Madonna] Louise Ciccone on a space flight could be realized in 2009," Panarin said, using most of the "Like a Virgin" singer's full name--but not all, perhaps acknowledging the objections some of his countrymen have to her onstage biblical imagery. ("The pop star calling herself Madonna is abusing the Cross," Valentin Lebedev, head of the Union of Orthodox Citizens, said during a protest in central Moscow last week.) So maybe there will be some vogue-ing at zero gravity at a later date. (And maybe Lance Bass will be able to pony up enough cash by then.) The first female space tourist, Iranian-American entrepreneur Anousheh Ansari, reportedly paid $20 million for the privilege to leave Earth Sept. 18. Three other individuals are said to have paid similar prices for a 10-day jaunt above-and-beyond the globe. Madonna, who's well on her way to having the highest grossing tour ever for a female music artist, hasn't really needed to leave the planet to have out of this world success, however. She performed in front of approximately 50,000 fans Tuesday night at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium and, despite the opposition mounting in recent weeks over the mock-crucifixion she has staged at the end of each of her performances on the Confessions tour, disruptions were at a minimum. According to authorities, a total of 23 people--some intoxicated--were detained and only seven of them had been trying to protest the shenanigans going on inside the stadium. More than 7,000 police officers were on duty throughout the evening, including 45 dog handlers and 600 riot cops. This was Madonna's first concert in Russia. Next it's off to Osaka and Tokyo to see what sort of religious ire the pop icon can stir up in Asia.

Let us begin again to challenge our youth to reach out neither for wealth nor fame but for pride and inspiration to lend a helping hand and lead the lands we love so that we may give our children a chance to save our planet Earth. For our generation continues to use greed, money, fame, and lack a basic understanding for that age old struggle of the plight to rid the Earth of poverty, famine, disease, tyranny, and war itself.

I can only hope that my words, poetry, pictures, weblinks, and my space age love story will help to inspire the children yet to be born. For my time on this Earth may not see these dreams come true for me and you. You see, I have tried for 2 centuries...1983-2008 to reach out and communicate with those people living on this planet who I thought could help make my vision of hope come true….But alas…I have been left in a world of poverty and insincerity as my lifelong quest to find my soulmate, my Juliet, has not come to pass within these 46 years of isolation and rejection.

I have found that without communication there can be no evolution to connect the mind and body to the heart and soul….It continues to be a heartache role that I must play….May you all find my words of poetry to be true for you in the later years for I cannot continue to live a life where I continue to place a burden on my family for a life of wishes and dreams that have not come true….including my lifelong search for the one woman who I most long to meet , to be my friend, my lover , and my wife…my Juliet , my soul mate and my eternal love.

May Project LUNA follow Project APOLLO and make that one small step for man into one giant leap to MARS for both men and women of this great blue planet Earth…….The show must go on……With or without me…..To be or not to be……In space or in time….This has been Romeo’s rhyme.

INTRODUCTION
Often in an attempt to acquaint minority students with “classic” literature, teachers of English assign students reading that is not appropriate. Many times students are assigned works they simply do not understand.
Teachers have a special responsibility to students. They must be able to justify teaching a curriculum. Not just because it is “classic” literature. Young minority students need to be exposed to “classic” literature, but they need to be able to relate or they will not benefit.
A plot in a Shakespearean drama may seem to be irrelevant to the minority youth of today. They are seeking to solve problems in their own lives. Thus many minority youth turn a deaf ear to “classic” literature.
This unit can be taught in the middle school, grades 6-8. It is designed for slow learners, but not limited to slow learners. The suggested teaching time for this unit is eight to ten weeks. Teachers will be able to introduce students to the joys of reading the well known classic, ROMEO and JULIET. It includes discussion questions, questionnaires of facts, vocabulary study, lesson plans, and lists of books, films, and recordings for both teachers and students.
The feuding Montagues and Capulets in old Verona may raise the question of family loyalty. Students will be able to sort out their own sense of family. Is family loyalty important and why? How far does one go? Is individuality within the family as important as family unity and strength? How is individuality developed without a lost of family loyalty?
Youth of the middle school age group will find it easy to relate to conflicts. Most young people will experience some type of conflict during this period. It may be family, peer, school, or community gang. What may not be so easy is finding ways to sort out individual feelings, effects and solutions.
Both Romeo and Juliet and Westside Story are centered around conflicts of young people. The adults seemed alienated from the needs of the youths and are not sympathetic to them.

HISTORY OF THE FAMILY
The family is the most important group to which most people ever belong. They are born into a family, grow up in it, and remain in their parents’ family or, after they are married, in their own family throughout their lives.
The family does many things for its members. A family lives together and cares for the needs of each person. Within the family, members find love, sympathy, and companionship more easily than in any other group. A general definition of a family is that it is a small group of people related to one another by birth, adoption, or marriage, sharing a household and caring for one another.
In the United States and in other industrialized countries, the father, the mother, and their unmarried children usually make up the family. This kind of family is called a nuclear family.
In parts of the world where people live mainly by farming, often a father, mother, their married sons, the sons’ wives, and their children all live and work together. This kind of family is called an extended family.
Families may differ a great deal from one place to another and from one age to another. But all have certain basic functions: providing for the care and rearing of children, either by parents or other groups; and providing for the needs of parents.
The first stage in the family life cycle begins with marriage. In this stage the family consist of the husband and wife. This stage goes back as far as Adam and Eve. In the Hebrew family unit the husband was the master, who is over the house and everyone in it. The wife is charged with running the household. She sees to it that the wishes of the master are carried out at home.
Then the second stage of the family life cycle which begins with the first child birth. In times past, many families had four or more children. A large family was regarded as a great blessing. Now two children are regarded as the ideal number and many families have only one child.
The reasons for this change in family size is clear. Women have emancipated themselves from the ear-marked duties of motherhood. Birth control equipment is more available. Women are no longer robbed of pregnancies in close succession. Today women have the time, health, and above all the spirit to agitate for better conditions for themselves, for education, and careers. As a young couple with a small family, they can aim at having a higher standard of living.
There are many kinds of families. In the equalitarian family the father is considered the head of the family, but the mother and children also have a part in making decisions. When the father makes almost all decisions and his wife and children are not supposed to make any objections this is an authoritarian family type. In other families the oldest male member—the grandfather or his oldest son—makes the decisions. Such families are called patriarchal. Matriarchal is when the women is in charge.
